Set up and configure SharePoint Server 2013 and SQL Server BI
I’m working with development team the appropriate template
for a SharePoint 2013 MSBI In the Meantime, I thought I’d share a couple of
links with everyone so we can begin to get familiar with the MSBI features and

SharePoint 2013 Apps PROS and CONS
Apps for SharePoint are self-contained pieces of functionality that extend the capabilities of a SharePoint website. Apps integrate the best of the web and SharePoint; they are targeted, lightweight, and easy-to-use, and do a great job at solving a user need.
Users discover and download apps from the SharePoint Store or from their organization's private App Catalog and install them on their SharePoint sites.
In this post I will list out some of the Pros and Cons of Apps in SharePoint 2013.

- Protects data since they run as isolated
- Avoids security breaches
- Controlled Security access per App
- Deployed to own App Web
- Different Hosted options.
- Easier to upgrade.
- Advantage is that the Code is out of sharepoint
- Reduction of server outages and downtown
- Admins can Monitor apps
- Multiple development platforms supported for creating Apps
- Apps will work with Cross device
CONS
- Need to Create a Subsite to install App
- You need new Dns entry for each App (if required)
- Corporate catalog is paid or needs to be purchased
- Apps cannot talk to each other

SharePoint 2013 Search Index/Partition Degraded
Today our partner facing issue in SharePoint 2013 search. The problem is while searching, its showing below message with correlation id
Search has encountered a problem that prevents results from being returned. If the issue persists Please contact your administrator

I found in log

Index fragment '0' has no available cells. Cell statuses: [Cell I.0.0 on node IndexComponent1: Cell status is set to 'not available' (cell out of sync or seeding)]

And in the Search administration page "Search Application Topology section, the Index Partition is "x" symbol.
Solution:
We have to run Index Reset and run full crawl.
